“Ken-chan, come meet my boyfriend!”

Kenpachi put his papers down, looking at his petite lieutenant in shock. “Boyfriend?”

Yachiru nodded, a blush coming to her cheeks. “Yep! He’s so sweet! He takes me anywhere I want to go, he buys me candy, and he’s super cute!”

Kenpachi frowned. “Who in the hell would try and date you? You’re a little kid!”

“You wanna meet him, Ken-chan?”

The 11th Division captain grinned wildly. “Why, I think that’s a great idea, Yachiru.”

He stood and propped Yachiru up on his shoulders as always as she led him around Seireitei, ignoring the annoyance of all the dead-ends she led him to in favor of imagining what he would do to such a pig that would try and put his hands on a little girl.

“I can see him!” She stood on his shoulders, waving. “HEY, BOYFRIEND-KUN!!”

“Wha? No, Kusajishi-fukutaichou! GAH!!”

Kenpachi watched Yachiru leap off of him and onto the shoulders of a frightened little man. He glared. “Who the hell are you?”

The boy looked up at him. “Ah…Yamada Hanatarou, 8th Seat, 4th Division!” He tried to stand at attention and look innocent, but Yachiru was kissing at his cheeks and it was causing him to blush wildly.

Kenpachi laughed at the site, realizing the truth. “So Yachiru forced you into being her ‘boyfriend’ huh?”

“I didn’t force anything, Ken-chan!” Yachiru grinned. “Boyfriend-kun loves me, right Boyfriend-kun?”

Hanatarou froze. “I um…Well, Kusajishi-fukutaichou…you see…”

Yachiru giggled. “Aww, he’s shy! You can tell how much he loves me though, right Ken-chan?”

Kenpachi grinned. “You two are a match made in heaven, that’s for damned sure!” As he went to walk past them, he put his hand on Hanatarou’s shoulder. “If you send her back to me crying, I’ll break every bone in your body. Good luck, kid.”

Yachiru hugged Hanatarou tightly. “Tee hee! I love you, Boyfriend-kun~”
